General Admission Requirements

Included among the general admission requirements are as follows. Applicants must:

  • File the application of admission
  • Provide official transcripts of all other institutions attended
  • Send the transcripts directly to the University by the issuing institution
  • Present authentic identification documents
  • Send standardized test scores (ACT/SAT) when it is necessary to such programs

Note: This is because the transcripts relayed by students through email are not official unless they are confirmed by the issuing institution.

Requirements for Transfer Students

Under 15 Transferable Credits

  • Admit to undergraduate in the conventional manner
  • Hand in the official transcripts and test scores (where necessary) in high school
  • Admission is made according to the conventional academic standards

Students with 15 or More Transferable Credits

  • Should possess a minimum GPA of 2.0 in order to be fully admitted
  • They can accept conditional admission by applicants having a GPA of 1.8 to 1.99
  • The submissions should be in time before the academic deadline
  • The Academic Appeals Committee considers appeals

Note: Only academic issues are under consideration and such appeals are to be made before the first day of classes.

Standardized Test Scores

ACT or SAT scores are possible requirements of:

  • Scholarship eligibility
  • Acceptance to certain academic courses
  • Athletic eligibility
  • Academic appeal review

Academic Appeals Policy

  • The appeals are to be provided in written forms
  • The Academic Appeals Committee reviews the appeals
  • Communication of decisions takes place prior to the beginning of the academic term
  • The appeals are considered only on the next term
